10/15/2017 Jeff Carter, LA, C
Carter had two assists in Saturday's win over the Sabres.

Analysis: Carter had been off to a surprisingly slow start with one point through the Kings' first three games, and he's still yet to score his first goal after netting 32 last season.
10/15/2017 Louis Domingue, Ari, G
Domingue stopped only 23 of 29 shots in the Coyotes' 6-2 loss to the Bruins on Saturday.

Analysis: Domingue has labored with Raanta out, entering Saturday's game with a 3.99 goals-against average after allowing a pair of soft goals (three overall) against the Red Wings on Thursday.
10/15/2017 Dougie Hamilton, Cgy, D
Hamilton had two goals and an assist as the Flames beat the Canucks 5-2 on Saturday.

Analysis: It was the first goals of the season for Hamilton, who had career highs of 13 goals and 37 assists last season.
10/15/2017 Anton Khudobin, Bos, G
Khudobin made 38 saves and the Bruins stretched their winning streak in Arizona to seven straight with a 6-2 victory over the still-winless Coyotes on Saturday night.

Analysis: Khudobin isn't going to be the No. 1 guy barring injury, but he should get a little more playing time with impressive performances like this.
10/15/2017 Tyler Toffoli, LA, C
Toffoli had a power-play goal and an assist in Saturday's win over the Sabres.

Analysis: Toffoli tops the Kings with 18 shots despite ranking only 12th on the team in ice time.
10/15/2017 David Pastrnak, Bos, RW
Pastrnak had a goal and an assist and the Bruins stretched their winning streak in Arizona to seven straight with a 6-2 victory over the still-winless Coyotes on Saturday night.

Analysis: Pastrnak has been throwing shots on net with some impressive frequency thus far, registering 13 in four games.
10/15/2017 Brad Marchand, Bos, LW
Marchand had a goal and an assist and the Bruins stretched their winning streak in Arizona to seven straight with a 6-2 victory over the still-winless Coyotes on Saturday night.

Analysis: That's three goals - on just seven shots - and two assists for Marchand through four games.
10/15/2017 Zdeno Chara, Bos, D
Chara had a goal and two assists and the Bruins stretched their winning streak in Arizona to seven straight with a 6-2 victory over the still-winless Coyotes on Saturday night.

Analysis: Chara didn't register a point in his first three games while totaling just three shots, but put three on net in this game alone.
10/15/2017 Filip Forsberg, Nsh, LW
Forsberg scored a power-play goal late in the second period for Nashville, the Preds' only goal in a 2-1 overtime loss to the Blackhawks on Saturday.

Analysis: It was his fifth goal in five games, and he's really giving the Predators' scoring attack a shot in the arm.
10/15/2017 Drew Doughty, LA, D
Doughty scored the tiebreaking goal on a power play with two minutes left in the Kings' 4-2 victory over the Sabres on Saturday night. Doughty also had an assist.

Analysis: Doughty's first goal of the season oddly enough came in a game in which he finished at a season-worst minus-1.
10/15/2017 Pekka Rinne, Nsh, G
Rinne made 33 saves Saturday night, but wasn't tested until late, and the Blackhawks beat the Predators 2-1 in their first meeting since last year's playoffs.

Analysis: Rinne has been much better in his last two starts, allowing only three goals after yielding eight in his first two.
10/15/2017 Corey Crawford, Chi, G
Crawford had 37 saves for Chicago, and the Blackhawks beat the Predators 2-1 on Saturday night in their first meeting since last year's playoffs.

Analysis: It's been a great start for Crawford, who has stood tall (.960 save percentage) while facing 34.8 shots per game in his five starts.
10/15/2017 Brandon Saad, Chi, LW
Saad scored his sixth goal 3:05 into overtime, and the Blackhawks beat the Predators 2-1 on Saturday night in their first meeting since last year's playoffs.

Analysis: Boy, are the Blackhawks glad to have Saad back. He's probably happy to be back too - it took him 20 games to score six goals last season with Columbus.
10/15/2017 Zach Bogosian, Buf, D
Bogosian was placed on injured reserve Sunday with a lower-body injury.

Analysis: Bogosian, 27, had been limited in practice since being injured in the Sabres' final preseason game. In 56 games last season, he recorded 11 points (two goals, nine goals).
10/15/2017 Scott Darling, Car, G
Darling, making his first road start as the Hurricanes No. 1 goalie, made 19 saves in a 2-1 loss to the Jets on Saturday.

Analysis: Acquired from Chicago, Darling has started all three games for the Hurricanes instead of Cam Ward, the man who has been locked in as the top netminder for Carolina for the better part of the past 12 seasons. ''He gives us a chance every night,'' said Hurricanes head coach Bill Peters. ''There he is again tonight, two goals against. It's a race to three in the National Hockey League."
10/15/2017 Nikolaj Ehlers, Wpg, LW
Ehlers scored his team-leading fifth goal and the Jets beat Carolina 2-1 on Saturday night.

Analysis: The former first-round pick - who signed a pricey extension just days before the season - is proving to be worth every penny.
10/15/2017 Connor Hellebuyck, Wpg, G
Hellebuyck stopped 28 shots to win his third straight game and the Jets beat Carolina 2-1 on Saturday night.

Analysis: Hellebuyck's start has been beyond even the Jets' wildest expectations. He'll come back to Earth a bit, but he's clearly talented.
10/15/2017 Evgeny Kuznetsov, Was, C
Kuznetsov recorded another assist in the Capitals' loss at Philadelphia on Saturday.

Analysis: That's now a league-leading 11 helpers through five games for the talented Russian, though he's still yet to produce his first goal of 2017-18. It's early, but Kuznetsov is looking like he has a chance to duplicate his 77-point campaign of 2015-16 after dipping to 59 points last season.
10/15/2017 Jakub Vrana, Was, LW
Vrana had one of the Capitals' two goals in Saturday's lopsided loss at Philadelphia.

Analysis: The 21-year-old also scored Friday in New Jersey and now has five in 27 career NHL games. With five points through the first five games of this season, Vrana should be on the radars of fantasy players.
