Dec. 17 9:54 PM PT10:54 PM MT11:54 PM CT12:54 AM ET5:54 GMT13:54 10:54 PM MST12:54 AM EST9:54 UAE06:540:54 ET11:54 PM CTNaN: - Chris Paul scored 25 points Saturday, going 7 of 13 from the field, as the Houston Rockets defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 115-111. Paul grabbed five rebounds and had six assists, accumulating a plus-minus of +7 in his 36:03 of playing time. He tacked on one steal. Paul went 3 of 8 from behind the arc.
Analysis: Think Paul isn't a fit for Mike D'Antoni's offense? He's averaging 24.1 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.9 steals over Houston's last seven wins, all of which would rate as career bests. Add in the 8.1 assists per game he's delivered during that surge, and CP3 has clearly maintained his spot as an elite fantasy point guard despite a new address.
Dec. 16 9:53 PM PT10:53 PM MT11:53 PM CT12:53 AM ET5:53 GMT13:53 10:53 PM MST12:53 AM EST9:53 UAE06:530:53 ET11:53 PM CTNaN: - Chris Paul scored 28 points Friday on 10-of-18 shooting as the Houston Rockets defeated the San Antonio Spurs 124-109. Paul grabbed four rebounds and dished out eight assists, accumulating a plus-minus of +29 in his 32:10 of playing time. He added one block and seven steals. Paul went 5 of 9 from 3-point range.
Analysis: Paul may be throwing his hat into the MVP ring if he can keep playing like he has over Houston's past four games, a stretch in which he's averaging 26.3 points, eight assists, 5.8 rebounds and a stellar four steals while making 14 3-pointers. That the Rockets are 13-0 when he's played this season certainly shouldn't be overlooked as well.
Dec. 14 8:19 AM PT9:19 AM MT10:19 AM CT11:19 AM ET16:19 GMT0:19 9:19 AM MST11:19 AM EST20:19 UAE17:1911:19 ET10:19 AM CTNaN: - Chris Paul scored 31 points Wednesday on 10-of-18 shooting as the Houston Rockets defeated the Charlotte Hornets 108-96. Paul pulled down seven rebounds and had 11 assists, accumulating a plus-minus of +19 in his 35:07 of playing time. He tacked on two steals. Paul went 5 of 9 from 3-point range.
Analysis: Paul seems to be rounding into form after missing a lot of time due to injury. He's averaging 23.2 points, 8.6 assists and 6.4 rebounds while totaling 12 steals and hitting 15 of 34 from 3-point range over his last five games.
Dec. 11 7:40 PM PT8:40 PM MT9:40 PM CT10:40 PM ET3:40 GMT11:40 8:40 PM MST10:40 PM EST7:40 UAE (+1)04:4022:40 ET9:40 PM CTNaN: - Chris Paul scored 20 points Monday on 8-of-16 shooting as the Houston Rockets topped the New Orleans Pelicans 130-123. Paul grabbed nine rebounds and had six assists, tallying a plus-minus of +4 in his 32:30 on the floor. He added one block and three steals. Paul went 3 of 9 from behind the arc.
Analysis: December has been good to Paul, who has averaged 21.3 points and shot 50.8 percent in four games this month.
Dec. 10 9:20 PM PT10:20 PM MT11:20 PM CT12:20 AM ET5:20 GMT13:20 10:20 PM MST12:20 AM EST9:20 UAE06:200:20 ET11:20 PM CTNaN: - Chris Paul scored 26 points Saturday on 8-of-14 shooting as the Houston Rockets defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 124-117. Paul pulled down three rebounds and dished out seven assists, tallying a plus-minus of +14 in his 34:58 of playing time. He added two steals. Paul went 1 of 4 from behind the arc.
Analysis: Paul scored a season-high 26 as the Rockets improved to 10-0 with him in the lineup. Since shooting 3 for 20 in consecutive games, Paul has averaged 19.5 points on 28-of-53 shooting in his past four contests.
Dec. 8 10:34 PM PT11:34 PM MT12:34 AM CT1:34 AM ET6:34 GMT14:34 11:34 PM MST1:34 AM EST10:34 UAE07:341:34 ET12:34 AM CTNaN: - Chris Paul scored 18 points Thursday on 7-of-14 shooting as the Houston Rockets topped the Utah Jazz 112-101. Paul pulled down nine rebounds and dished out 13 assists, accumulating a plus-minus of +12 in his 36:43 on the floor. He added one block and three steals. Paul went 2 of 5 from 3-point range.
Analysis: Paul has tallied 39 points over his last two games after netting just 23 over his previous three, and perhaps most importantly, the 37 minutes were a season high. While his scoring numbers have fluctuated, the perennial All-Star's assist and steal numbers remain rock steady. He's averaged 10.1 assists while recording two thefts or more in six of seven games since returning from a knee injury.
Dec. 4 9:47 PM PT10:47 PM MT11:47 PM CT12:47 AM ET5:47 GMT13:47 10:47 PM MST12:47 AM EST9:47 UAE06:470:47 ET11:47 PM CTNaN: - Chris Paul scored 21 points Sunday on 8-of-17 shooting as the Houston Rockets topped the Los Angeles Lakers 118-95. Paul pulled down four rebounds and had six assists, tallying a plus-minus of +8 in his 33:00 of playing time. He added two steals. Paul went 4 of 7 from 3-point range.
Analysis: Having tallied only 23 points over his previous three games, Paul was far more aggressive in this one and put up a season high in field goal attempts. That different approach also resulted in a season-high five turnovers, something that hasn't been a problem area during his brief tenure in Houston. CP3 had turned it over a mere nine times in his first seven games as a Rocket.
Nov. 29 8:51 PM PT9:51 PM MT10:51 PM CT11:51 PM ET4:51 GMT12:51 9:51 PM MST11:51 PM EST8:51 UAE05:5123:51 ET10:51 PM CTNaN: - Chris Paul scored 13 points Wednesday, going 5 of 8 from the field, as the Houston Rockets defeated the Indiana Pacers 118-97. Paul grabbed six rebounds and dished out seven assists, tallying a plus-minus of +14 in his 29:33 on the floor. Paul went 2 of 3 from 3-point range.
Nov. 28 6:12 AM PT7:12 AM MT8:12 AM CT9:12 AM ET14:12 GMT22:12 7:12 AM MST9:12 AM EST18:12 UAE15:129:12 ET8:12 AM CTNaN: - Chris Paul scored four points Monday on 1-of-7 shooting as the Houston Rockets topped the Brooklyn Nets 117-103. Paul pulled down six rebounds and dished out 14 assists, accumulating a plus-minus of +12 in his 30:59 on the floor. He tacked on two steals. Paul went 1 of 4 from behind the arc.
Analysis: Paul didn't have a turnover, marking the eighth time in his career he has recorded 14 or more assists without a turnover, all coming since the start of the 2008-09 season. No other player has more than five games of doing so.
Nov. 25 7:08 PM PT8:08 PM MT9:08 PM CT10:08 PM ET3:08 GMT11:08 8:08 PM MST10:08 PM EST7:08 UAE (+1)04:0822:08 ET9:08 PM CTNaN: - Chris Paul scored six points Saturday on 2-of-12 shooting as the Houston Rockets defeated the New York Knicks 117-102. Paul pulled down two rebounds and dished out 13 assists, accumulating a plus-minus of +13 in his 30:53 on the floor. He tacked on two steals.
Analysis: Nobody is excited about six points on 2-of-12 shooting, but Paul had a season-best 13 assists as he played a season-high 30:53. He's clearly 100 percent healthy now and the double-doubles should be fairly consistent from here on out.
Nov. 22 7:22 PM PT8:22 PM MT9:22 PM CT10:22 PM ET3:22 GMT11:22 8:22 PM MST10:22 PM EST7:22 UAE (+1)04:2222:22 ET9:22 PM CTNaN: - Chris Paul scored 23 points Wednesday, going 8 of 11 from the field, as the Houston Rockets topped the Denver Nuggets 125-95. Paul pulled down two rebounds and dished out 12 assists, accumulating a plus-minus of +26 in his 27:31 of playing time. He added three steals. Paul went 4 of 7 from behind the arc.
Analysis: Paul remains on a minutes restriction with a cap of roughly 28 minutes per game. He played a season-high 27:31 in this one and made the most of it with season highs in points, assists and field goals. He's 14 for 22 from the field and 8 of 14 from deep the last two games so there's no problem with his shot at all.
Nov. 19 9:04 PM PT10:04 PM MT11:04 PM CT12:04 AM ET5:04 GMT13:04 10:04 PM MST12:04 AM EST9:04 UAE06:040:04 ET11:04 PM CTNaN: - Chris Paul scored 17 points Saturday on 6-of-11 shooting as the Houston Rockets defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 105-83. Paul pulled down two rebounds and had six assists, accumulating a plus-minus of +10 in his 24:12 of playing time. He added one block and two steals. Paul went 4 of 7 from 3-point range.
Analysis: Paul hasn't looked like he's missed a beat in his two games since returning from a left knee injury, totaling 28 points on 9-of-18 shooting and 16 assists.
Oct. 18 10:55 PM PT11:55 PM MT12:55 AM CT1:55 AM ET5:55 GMT13:55 10:55 PM MST12:55 AM EST9:55 UAE07:551:55 ET12:55 AM CTNaN: - Chris Paul scored four points Tuesday on 2-of-9 shooting as the Houston Rockets defeated the Golden State Warriors 122-121. Paul pulled down eight rebounds and had 11 assists, tallying a plus-minus of -12 in his 33:04 on the floor. He added one block and two steals.
Analysis: Paul's highly anticipated Houston debut was a dud from a points perspective, though he certainly contributed in other areas. He's also dealing with a sore knee that may have affected his performance, something fantasy owners need to monitor with the Rockets in action again Wednesday in Sacramento.
Oct. 18 7:10 AM PT8:10 AM MT9:10 AM CT10:10 AM ET14:10 GMT22:10 7:10 AM MST9:10 AM EST18:10 UAE16:1010:10 ET9:10 AM CTNaN: - Paul (knee) returned from a 14-game absence and scored 11 points Thursday on 3-of-7 shooting as the Houston Rockets topped the Phoenix Suns 142-116. Paul grabbed four rebounds and had 10 assists, tallying a plus-minus of +12 in his 20:45 on the floor. He added two steals. Paul went 2 of 4 from behind the arc.
Analysis: Paul isn't going to receive huge minutes just yet after missing a month, but Wednesday's effort showed he doesn't need them to be a fantasy factor in Houston's dynamic offense. Owners may want to approach Houston's next game with caution, though, as the Grizzlies figure to present a stiffer challenge than the defensive-deficient Suns.
Oct. 17 12:59 PM PT1:59 PM MT2:59 PM CT3:59 PM ET19:59 GMT3:59 12:59 PM MST2:59 PM EST23:59 UAE21:5915:59 ET2:59 PM CTNaN: - Paul (knee, shoulder) confirmed after the Rockets' shootaround that he'll play in Tuesday night's season opener.
Analysis: Paul has been battling some soreness, but it doesn't appear to be anything that should hold him back in his Rockets debut.
