Syndergaard struck out two, ending the game with a 2.97 ERA and 1.05 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Syndergaard threw 26 pitches in two hitless innings, his second appearance since returning from a partial tear of his right lat muscle.

Analysis: Syndergaard started Saturday night against the Nationals and threw an inning in his first appearance since he tore his right lat Apr. 30.
Apr. 30 12:02 PM PT1:02 PM MT2:02 PM CT3:02 PM ET15:02 ET19:02 GMT3:02 12:02 PM MST2:02 PM EST2:32 PM VEN23:02 UAE2:02 PM CT-Syndergaard (lat muscle) came off the DL on Saturday to face the Nationals and threw one scoreless inning in a start. General manager Sandy Alderson said Friday the Mets want Syndergaard to get the feeling of being back on the mound. Depending on how Syndergaard feels, he might pitch once more this season.
Analysis: The right-hander landed on the DL on May 1 after going 1-2 with a 3.29 ERA in five starts. As planned, Matt Harvey took over in the second inning Saturday. Harvey is 1-3 with a 13.19 ERA in four starts since missing more than two months with a shoulder injury.

Analysis: Syndergaard was scratched from his start Thursday against the Braves because of biceps and shoulder discomfort.
Apr. 26 11:31 AM PT12:31 PM MT1:31 PM CT2:31 PM ET14:31 ET18:31 GMT2:31 11:31 AM MST1:31 PM EST2:01 PM VEN22:31 UAE1:31 PM CT-The New York Mets have pushed back Syndergaard's turn in the rotation by a day, and Robert Gsellman will start Wednesday night against the Atlanta Braves in his place.
Analysis: Gsellman was scheduled to pitch Tuesday against Atlanta in a game that was rained out, and the Mets initially said they would skip their No. 5 starter and let Syndergaard pitch Wednesday on normal rest. But several hours before first pitch, New York announced that it would instead slide the rotation back, with Syndergaard throwing Thursday against the Braves and Matt Harvey pushed back a day to Friday in the opener of a series against NL East-leading Washington.
Apr. 21 9:55 PM PT10:55 PM MT11:55 PM CT12:55 AM ET0:55 ET4:55 GMT12:55 9:55 PM MST11:55 PM EST12:25 AM VEN8:55 UAE11:55 PM CT-Syndergaard allowed five runs - three earned - and seven hits while striking out a season-high 10 over seven innings in a 6-4 loss to the Phillies.
Analysis: Syndergaard fanned Cesar Hernandez, Daniel Nava and Odubel Herrera in the first, starting out with 11 straight strikes. After having a blister problem on opening day, Syndergaard left his last start with a cracked fingernail. He brought the 100 mph heat this time with his split-fingernail fastball. He next takes the ball Wednesday against the Braves, whom he faced on opening day, allowing five hits while striking out seven of six scoreless innings.
Apr. 15 9:08 PM PT10:08 PM MT11:08 PM CT12:08 AM ET0:08 ET4:08 GMT12:08 9:08 PM MST11:08 PM EST11:38 PM VEN8:08 UAE11:08 PM CT-Syndergaard allowed two runs - one earned - and struck out four in six innings before he departed after throwing 87 pitches Friday at Miami. The right-hander said the nail split on his forefinger around the third inning, and on his middle finger in the sixth.
Analysis: Syndergaard left his first start because of a blister but said that was unrelated to his issue with his nails. ''I guess I kept my fingernails too short,'' he said. ''In the minor leagues I had to deal with this problem quite a bit. I'm not really sure why it flared up now - as simple as it sounds, to maintain my fingernails.'' Syndergaard, who has not walked a batter in three starts, described the problem as a mere nuisance and said he doesn't expect to miss a start.

Analysis: Syndergaard doesn't think the finger issue will linger. "The blister's fine," he said. "I think it flared up in the last start just `cause I haven't been really used to this colder environment."
Apr. 9 9:51 PM PT10:51 PM MT11:51 PM CT12:51 AM ET0:51 ET4:51 GMT12:51 9:51 PM MST11:51 PM EST12:21 AM VEN8:51 UAE11:51 PM CT-After an extra day of rest, Syndergaard is set to take the ball again on Sunday against the Marlins.
Analysis: Syndergaard fired six scoreless innings in the season opener against Atlanta, but exited with a blister on the middle finger of his pitching hand. The hard-throwing righty has been putting a cream on it. He is 2-0 with a 1.80 ERA and 29 strikeouts over 20 innings in three career starts against Miami.

He allowed five hits, struck out seven and didn't issue a walk.
Analysis: Syndergaard will have the blister dried out over the next few days and the Mets will push his next start back a day, to Sunday, as a precaution.
Mar. 3 3:53 PM PT4:53 PM MT5:53 PM CT6:53 PM ET18:53 ET23:53 GMT7:53 4:53 PM MST6:53 PM EST7:23 PM VEN3:53 UAE (+1)5:53 PM CT-Unable to reach an agreement, the New York Mets renewed the contract of Syndergaard for a major league salary of $605,500.
Analysis: With 1 year, 149 days of major league service, Syndergaard almost certainly will be eligible for salary arbitration next winter. The hard-throwing 24-year-old right-hander was 14-9 with a 2.60 ERA last season, striking out 218 in 183 2/3 innings.
